Create a list of tasks, add notes to them, set due dates for these tasks, and put them into custom groups – that is the sort of functionality one will get by choosing the GeeTeeDee task management tool provided by Codea. Go ahead and try the application if you want an efficient means of staying on top of your tasks.

GeeTeeDee is available for Windows and Linux; the developer says that a Mac and mobile edition will also be released in the future. The Windows installation file for desktop PCs is only 4.1MB in size. Run this file, go through a straightforward setup wizard, and you will have GeeTeeDee up and running in a blink.

On the left hand side on GeeTeeDee’s interface task groups are displayed; to the right the tasks from a selected group are presented. When you start out with the application, you will see just a default group Inbox. You will be invited to click a link and load some predefined tasks in the Inbox default group.

You can create several custom groups – to do so, simply right click in the left hand part of GeeTeeDee’s interface and select Add Group from the context menu. You will be able to pick an icon and provide a name for the new group. To add a task into the newly created group, you can hit the New button from the bottom of the interface, or you can double click anywhere inside the group. You will get to give a name to the task, type in a note, and add a due date.

All the groups you create can be exported as TXT files.

GeeTeeDee is freeware. You won’t have to part with your money to use this task management tool.
